Our cute Rana Jumper has accordion pleats from the yoke in front and back, which means the fabric billows out. We were inspired by the 90's looks that mirrored the 60's looks and patterns. Comfy side pockets, and can be worn layered with a top. We love this jumper layered with our Lucinda Blouse, or or Arbutus Tee, or all by itself.
Fit: this dress fits true to size. Cynthia (that’s right, the Devon’s Drawer designer) is wearing a medium, Meera is wearing a small.
We are super excited about our fabrics this season! If you're not a fabric nerd feel free to skip this paragraph, but if you delight in (or obsess over) these details read on! First up, we have a new Japanese paper fabric (yes you read that right). It's a dijon colored twill, made with 50% organic cotton, 30% paper yarn, and 20% cupro. This is a traditional yarn used in Japan; the fabric is very sturdy but soft and feels quite cool - great for summer months. Cupro is from regenerated waste cotton, and the factory we buy from recycles the chemicals that are used to make this fabric. This fabric is quite expensive, which is why the styles made with it cost more. Next up we have a 100% cotton Japanese black and white railroad stripe fabric. This fabric feels like a light weight soft denim. Finally, we have a beautiful Japanese cotton twill in black. This fabric has a slight shine due to the weave.
